The Long Trail Run
There aren’t many paved roads on our Spartan courses. Best to go trail running once a week if you can. Don’t obsess about miles- just enjoy logging time in nature while moving forward with an elevated heart rate. Keep it simple, and enjoy. If you see a mountain on the horizon, head in that direction.
Trail – 20 minutes to 5 hours, with 10-100 burpees at the halfway point.
Don’t forget to stretch!
Remember, ‘long’ means different things to different runners. For some it’s 5k, for others 50k. Whenever you are, just try and go a little farther each time you do this workout. Get out of your comfort-zone, and expand your perimeter.
